Selecting Vineyards with Sustainability in Mind

For our select tier of William Heritage wines, we source grapes from growers that share a similar passion for farming high quality grapes and a commitment to sustainable agriculture. The majority of these wines are sourced from Lodi, California. We are tremendously excited that the grape growers in Lodi share many similar sustainable grape growing techniques:

• Utilizing sheep to control weeds supporting local bird populations to control pests. 
• Implementing cover crops and dry-farming techniques to conserve water and topsoil. 
• Recycling and reuse of materials to minimize waste.
• Preserving local ecosystems and wildlife habitats.
